Pete Kundin passed peacefully on Tuesday February 11, 2025 surrounded by his family. He fought a brief but valorous battle with ALS.
He is survived by his beautiful bride of 39 years, Molly; his two children, Jillian Kundin Williams and Allen Kundin (Reilly Dow); brother David Kundin (Delia); niece Tori Okwabi (Mike) and grand-niece Mya Okwabi. He is predeceased by his parents Larry and Betty Kundin.
Pete was born and raised in Irondequoit, NY where he was a star on the varsity wrestling team. He remained close to his Irondequoit family until the end.
Pete raised his family in Fairport, NY where he continued his sports legacy becoming ‘Coach’ to over one hundred kids throughout the years. His passion project was the Fairport Rugby Club where he became the first person inducted into their Hall Of Fame. He was a leader within NYS Rugby and Western NY Rugby.
He spent his later years relaxing and singing in Fair Haven, NY.
While being a devoted husband, loving father and dedicated sports coach, he was everyone’s best friend.
Funeral Services will take place on TUESDAY February 18, 2025 at 12 Noon in The Interfaith Chapel of Brighton Memorial Chapel, Inc. (3325 Winton Road South). CLICK HERE for map to the Funeral Home.
A procession will follow to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Fairport, NY.
