Aubey Dankner passed away peacefully on July 10 at the age of 89. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Dankner who was the love of his life, their 3 children, 8 grandchildren, his brother-in laws and sister-in laws, numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends.

Aubey moved to Rochester NY in his teenage years, attended Benjamin Franklin High School, served in the US Army overseas in Korea, and owned Dankner’s Quality Bakery, supplying delicious sweets and breads to restaurants, stores and customers throughout the Rochester community.

Above all, Aubey was a loving and devoted husband, father, papa, brother-in law, uncle, cousin and friend. He loved walking, ran marathons, and enjoyed biking, golfing, fishing, swimming, listening to music, watching his grandchildren play sports, dance, perform on stage and more. He was a kind and compassionate man who brought love, laughter, fun and light to all who were blessed to know him. He will be forever in our hearts.

The family expresses sincere gratitude to the caring staff at Edna Tina Wilson Living Center.

In lieu of flowers for those wishing to do so, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a favorite charity.
