Fought a valiant fight for six years from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, passed away on October 26, at the age of 77. Predeceased by her parents, Jack and Harriet Kay. Survived by her husband, Richard Rappaport; children, Jeffrey Rappaport, Barbie (Jack) Davis and Lisa (Benjamin) Spokony; grandchildren, Tara (Aaron) Straight, David (Brittany) Rappaport, Jessica (Jon) Hanig, Michael Gruner, Elijah Spokony and Isaiah Spokony; great-grandson, Elliot Hanig; step-grandchildren, Kyle (Chelsea) Davis and Stephanie (Kyle) Hart; brother, David (Linda) Kay; best friends, Charlene and Stan Caplan; Neuro Palliative Care Physician, Dr. Benzi Kluger; aides, Amos, Diana, Arrion and Nadine; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. And much thanks to Hospice nurse Heather.

Barbara graduated from Cornell University, then the University of Rochester. Barbara was full of life with many friends. She and her husband spent retirement cruising throughout the world. She was very adventurous and would try anything with excitement.

Funeral Services will take place on TUESDAY October 28, 2025 at 1 PM at Temple B’rith Kodesh (2131 Elmwood Avenue). CLICK HERE for a map to Temple.
