Betty Donsky (nee Bortnick)

Passed away on October 26, 2024, at the age of 99. Predeceased by her husband, Bennie Donsky; siblings; and in-laws. Survived by her loving sons, Gary E. (Judy) Donsky and Steven M. (Christine) Donsky; beloved granddaughter, Leanna R. Donsky; many nieces and nephews. The family extends their gratitude to the staff at The Jewish Home of Rochester who provided outstanding and loving care to Betty for the last 15 years. Special thanks to the staff at Cottage 2- 3rd floor, and the Hospice providers for their attention during her final days.

Betty graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in 1943 and worked many years at Highland and Strong Memorial Hospitals as a Medical Librarian.

Betty enjoyed playing Mahjong with her friends, bowling, musicals, and walking along the canal.

Graveside Services will be held on FRIDAY November 1, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Britton Road Cemetery. Friends and family will be received following the burial, from 1 – 4 PM at 181 Woodleaf in Pittsford. Donations may be made to Jewish Home Foundation or The Monroe County Humane Society at Lollypop Farm in Betty’s memory.
