Bonnie Steltzer, 69, lifelong resident of Rochester, passed away on December 29th, a victim of COVID-19.

Bonnie graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School and Monroe Community College with an Associates Degree in Computer Science. She retired from a long career at the Rochester Psychiatric Center and looked forward to pursuing her two favorite activities cycling and animals. Bonnie was an avid cyclist for both practical travel through the city and pleasure riding. She could be seen every night cycling to work at 11pm! She especially enjoyed cycling with groups throughout the city. However, three years ago a serious accident cut her cycling adventures short. A lover of people and animals, Bonnie was devoted to her dog, Scooby, and she also raised and trained several exotic birds. She was a member of The Greater Rochester Hook Bill Association.

Bonnie was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Ethel Steltzer, and is survived by an older brother, Peter. Among those who mourn her passing are cousins Lynda Faye and Jacqueline Bodner and friends Jane Braband and Mary Giorgi.

A service will be held at the Britton Road Cemetery on Monday January 4th at 11AM.  You can view a recording of the funeral service below.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to R Community Bikes, P.O. Box 26471, Rochester 14626 VISIT WEBSITE.
