March 12, 2021 at age 96. Predeceased by his first wife, Mildred & second wife, Audrey; son, Kenneth; parents, Max & Leah Gordon; He is survived by his loving children, Michael (Debbie) Gordon; Jane (Miles Zatkowsky) Gordon & Jim Gordon; daughter-in-law, Margaret Gordon; grandchildren, Julia (Matt) Baker, Katie Gordon, Stacy (Steve) Gordon Tulgan, Andrew (Sarah) Gordon, Danielle (Andy Osburn) Zatkowsky & Ilana (Gregg) Griffo; 10 adored great-grandchildren; and Burt’s companion, Phillis Kasdin.
Burt was a native of Rochester and graduated from East High & Ohio State University. Upon returning from the war as a Naval Officer, he entered Gordon Motor Parts, which was founded by his father in 1917. Burt retired after the business was sold in 2017.
The Jewish community was important to Burt his entire life. He served on the boards and executive committees of TBK, the JCC, Jewish Senior Life and the Jewish Federation. He was an active supporter of the Alzheimer Association, RPO, Nazareth College, and the U of R. He taught his family the importance of giving back.
The family thanks his caregivers, Aldith & April and Dr. Daniel Mendelson for his special care.
Graveside Services will be held privately.
