Passed away on September 2, 2025, at the age of 104. Predeceased by her husband, Helmut Markus; parents, Max and Margarethe [Frohsinn] De Haas; and sister, Marian Gortatowsky. Survived by her children, Michael W. (Barbara) Markus and Gail Boorum; grandchildren, Bradley Boorum and Mark Boorum; great-grandson, Jacob (Renee Kuhn) Boorum; niece, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; longtime dear friend, Susan Branch as well as many other friends.

Funeral Services will be held on FRIDAY September 5, 2025 at 11 AM in The Chapel at Temple B’rith Kodesh (2131 Elmwood Avenue). CLICK HERE for a map to the Temple.

The family will receive prior to the Funeral Service from 10:30 – 10:55 AM at Temple B’rith Kodesh. Service immediately following at 11:00 AM, and will be ASL interpreted.
