At 52, passed away on February 15, 2022 at Highland Hospital after a brave battle with cancer. A native of Rochester, NY, David graduated from Brighton High School in 1987 and received his Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University in 1992. “Kokes,” as he was known by his friends, was an avid Syracuse basketball and Buffalo Bills fan, was active in the Camp Seneca Lake community, and devoted to his daughters.

David is predeceased by his nephew, Samuel Kolko, and survived by parents Carol & Wilfred Kolko; daughters Cecily & Jillian Kolko from his marriage to Cynthia Satloff Kolko; brother Michael (Susan Rothman) Kolko; nieces & nephews Melissa, Abigail, Daniel, and Joseph Kolko; uncle and aunt Steven and Fern Bernstein; aunts Anna Lee Firman, Esther Kolko and Brenda Kolko Castleforte; cousins Leah (Jeff) Blum and Marc (Laurie) Bernstein.

Funeral services to be held on FRIDAY February 18, 2022 at 1:30 PM in The All Seasons Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Road. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO VIEW SERVICES THAT TOOK PLACE. 

The family will receive friends on SATURDAY from 6 – 8 PM and SUNDAY from 2 – 5 PM at The Jewish Community Center, 1200 Edgewood Avenue.

Donations in David’s memory can be made to The Jewish Community Center of Greater Rochester Inc. with a memo designating the contribution to the “David Kolko Fund” for the benefit of Camp Seneca Lake. CLICK HERE to donate online.
