I was sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I met him in 1981 when I went to work at Best Motors and he was our Insurance man. I dealt with him for 39 years until Garber bought out Best and had there own Insurance. When I retired I called him to tell him as he still came in as a customer and we always spoke. I remember going to his house when his wife died. He was a great man and a true gentleman. He had a long life and I believe enjoyed it to the fullest

To family of Dave, he always was up and friendly at our legion events. To see his smile on a Wednesday morning, you knew he wanted to be there. Now only memories will carry us on. R.I.P. Dave 🇺🇸 Ted Voll, Jr. Sgt at Arms Braman Post #1229 Ava Shalom

My sincere condolences to Dave’s family and his loved ones. Dave was a good friend of mine for over 50 years, as well as my life-insurance man. I first met him when I worked at Best Motors in the ‘60s, and I was in awe of the beautiful Avanti that he loved so much, and held on to for all these years. Over the years, we would often meet up at some car show, where we displayed our classic cars. I admired his work ethic, and the fact that he still went into the office well after most people would have retired. I think he really liked his clients, and enjoyed visiting with them at his office or at a lunch get-together. He will be missed, and I will always cherish having been a friend of his.

To the Stein Family, We will miss seeing Dave at our GVACS meetings, activities and tours. He loved the hobby and participated (most often with Sandy Herritt). Dave joined the Genesee Valley Antique Car Society in 1954 so he was in his 69th year as a member. In 2013, he was the recipient of the GVACS Billy Knipper Award for outstanding achievement. He was a fine man and we were privileged to know him.

As Commander of Braman Post 1229 I wish to extend our condolences to the Stein family . Dave was a treasured member of our post for 38 years. His wit and insight was appreciated by all his fellow Legionnaires. David was always willing to provide one of his cars to include in our Independence Day Parade. For the past few years he was passenger while Michael did the driving. Our Wednesday morning breakfasts will not be the same with Dave's passing. I will never forget him.
