Passed away on December 27, 2022, at the age of 65. Predeceased by her father, Marvin D. Malowitz. Survived by husband, Cornelis “Cook” Haring; children, Tzafi (Amy Friduss) Haring, Yonah (Matan Amir) Haring, Shachar (Roei Leibovitz) Haring and Tal (Devan Katsof) Haring; grandchildren, Ben, Daniel, Adam and Yonatan; her mother Beverly Malowitz; sisters, Renee (Fred Lilienkamp) Malowitz and Susan (Tony) Cinquino; brother, Wesley (Lauren Soloff) Malowitz; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Debra’s greatest love was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and daughter. She was a beloved friend and colleague who formed life long bonds with those who were closest to her. Debra’s Jewish identity and strong spiritual connection with Israel shaped her values and the way she led her life. Her career at the University of Rochester was dedicated to advancing arts, sciences, engineering, and helping others.

Debra’s memory will live on in the hearts and minds of those who loved her. She was adored and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Graveside Services will be held on THURSDAY December 29, 2022 at 1:30 PM at White Haven Memorial Park (210 Marsh Road). Friends and family are asked to gather at the Main Entrance. CLICK HERE for a map to the cemetery.

The family will sit Shiva on THURSDAY from 4 – 7 PM and FRIDAY from 1 – 4 PM at 2030 Elmwood Avenue. CLICK HERE for a map to the Shiva House.
