Donald Rosenthal
Passed away on April 2, at the age of 71. Predeceased by parents William and Rose Rosenthal, sister in law Diane Rosenthal. Survived by wife Donna, sons Joshua(Allison), Jesse (Leann Tee), Jay (Trina), brothers Aaron, Stan (Barbara), MartinI (Judith),Dave (Sharon), brothers in law Victor (Mary Jane), Donald (Rosemarie)multiple nieces and nephews.
Don was born in South Bronx, NY on April 12, 1954. He was the second youngest of five brothers. He was an All-State gymnast at Springfield Gardens High School in Queens, NY. He went on to compete in gymnastics and basketball at U.C. Berkeley. He transferred to Buffalo State where he met his wife Donna. At Buffalo State he created “Friends Who Care” crisis hotline program. He graduated with multiple counseling related degrees and also went on to earn a degree in education later in life.
His exceptional work earned him many accolades and achievements through his career. He eventually founded The Family Enrichment Center of Western NY.
He was a dedicated husband and father. Was an avid supporter of his sons and the sports that they played. He also greatly enjoyed his dogs.
Don eventually succumbed after many years of battling his multiple, complicated health issues.
Graveside Services will be held on MONDAY April 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Britton Road Cemetery. [188 Britton Road]. CLICK HERE for a map to the cemetery.
