Edith D Warner died peacefully days after her 96th birthday. She grew up in Rochester NY, daughter of Minnie and Morris Dell and sister to Donald Dell. She earned two Master’s degrees, one in English Literature and another in Education. Early on, she taught English in the Oswego City School District. Her husband, Don Warner, predeceased her many years ago.
Edith was an avid reader, a disciplined exerciser and a longtime volunteer at the Brighton library.
She traveled widely and enjoyed chocolate daily.
She was predeceased by her beloved cousin Sherman F. Levey and is survived by his children, Lynn (Worcester MA) Ted (Danville CA) and Amy Levey (Silver Spring MD).
Her family greatly appreciates the care she received by a dedicated team at Wolk manor who accommodated many of Edith’s idiosyncrasies on a daily basis. They are also especially grateful for the devoted care provided by Jim Reynolds and Jeanne Mulley who kept her spirits high and brought her joy on good and bad days.
Edith’s Graveside Service will take place on THURSDAY November 3, 2022 at 11:30 AM in White Haven Memorial Park (210 Marsh Road). Friends are asked to gather at the main entrance. CLICK HERE for a map to the cemetery.
