Elaine E. Sacks

Passed away October 25, 2022 at age 93. Predeceased by her loving husband Marvin Sacks. She is survived by her children Jonathan (Jana) Sacks and Rebecca (Chip) Rice: grandchildren Josh, Rachel and Bessie Sacks, and Vanessa and Jake Rice; sister, Hannah of Israel.

Elaine and her husband enjoyed a life together filled with family and friends. She was active in the Jewish community, including volunteer work for European immigrant relocation in Rochester. The arts, including folk dancing, music, writing, and arts /crafts were also centric in her life. For many years she hosted her radio spot on WXXI. She worked for 40 years in the accounting field.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 27th at 12:30 PM at Brighton Memorial Chapel, 3325 Winton Road South.  For those unable to attend, the service at the funeral home will be livestreamed, you can view the service by clicking here. 

Interment will follow at Britton Road Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 27 from 5:30 – 8:00 PM at 20 Prince Street, Rochester.
