Passed away on November 20, 2025, at the age of 90. Predeceased by her husband, Leonard D. Gold;  parents, A. Louis and Anna L. Gaffe; and sister-in-law, Beverly Groden. Survived by her daughters, Jodi (Jonathan) Roberson, Lori (Edwen) Belza and Marcie (Joel) Shapiro; grandchildren, David (Lauren) Seidman, Alissa (Mike Dorsett) Seidman, Kate (Clark) O’Bannon, Sara (Kendall) Galvan, Jon Shapiro and Julie Shapiro; great-grandchildren, Kiah and Jaime Dorsett, Ben and Lila Seidman & Jaden and Madi O’Bannon; brother, Sanford (Et) Gaffe; sister, Karen Fernandez; brother-in-law, Marvin Groden; several nieces, nephews, many cousins and dear friends.

Elaine loved her family and especially the newest additions, her great grandchildren. She was adored by all and knew how to make everyone feel special and loved. Our “Lainey” was an extraordinary woman whose memory will be treasured.

The family would like to thank all those that showed her care and compassion when she was at Wolk Manor, the Tower at the Jewish Home, and at Strong Memorial Hospital 7–1400 and the Palliative Care unit.

Elaine said many times that she won the lottery in life.

“How lucky have I been?”  We are the ones that won the lottery … Mama A Rainbow 🌈 …

Funeral Services will be held on MONDAY November 24, 2025 at 1:30 PM in The Main Sanctuary of Temple Beth El (139 Winton Road South). CLICK HERE for a map to Temple.

A procession will follow to Mount Hope Cemetery.
