I am so very sorry for your family’s loss!! Ellen was a wonderful woman and I have missed her since leaving Lollypop. Her and Barry were one of my best foster homes for cats and kittens! Rest In Peace Ellen!

Dear Family. Our sorrow is great however our memories are wonderful. Ellen inspired these wonderful memories, with her beautiful smile, with her kindness, with her talents, with her intelligence. Sharing a Chinese meal on Christmas Day was always a treat to look forward too. Watching an old movie together, the time we stayed together in that hotel in Broadway where everyone knew your name, trying to keep up with you as you walked along the alleys and streets of the Broadway theater district like you owned it—-and you did after so many years of attending so many plays. We admired you and loved you for so many reasons. Your many kindnesses, your inexhaustible energy, your knowledge of theater, opera, classical music, musical theatre and your incredible thesaurus like knowledge of the English language. Why you were a living thesaurus. A repository of synonyms and antonyms and literary quotes that could put the Old Bard to shame. Whenever I tried ti write a parody of a song from a Broadway musical apropos to a Jewish holiday meal, or one of our cousin’s birthdays you were there for me. Anita you were always a favorite of mine even as the cutest little cousin at my birthday parties on Rauber Street. I’ll never forget you. We’ll NEVER forget you. As long as the Segelin Fsmily exists you will exist, you will be loved and remembered always.
