I would often see my neighbor Izzy walking his regular 4 miles a day and always enjoyed speaking with him in Hebrew when we would meet on the street or at shul. He was such an interesting man, always with a sparkle in his eye, concerned with what was going on in my world. One Pesach, he shared some of his famous seven layer matza cake for the holiday. In recent years, when Izzy was slowing down, I'd stop to chat with him as he watched over Fairfield Drive from his driveway. What great sons Izzy had to lovingly take care of him. He will be missed.

We were so sorry to hear of Izzy's passing. We often saw him at Temple Beth El where we always wished each other a Shabbat Shalom or good Yom Tov. May memories of him bring comfort to his loved ones, and may his memory always be for a blessing.
