February 14, 2021 at age 95. Flo and her sister Edie were legendary sidekicks in Rochester for decades, galavanting about the City and generating more electricity than RG&E. A master joke teller, sports maven, and card-playing ace, Flo possessed the loyalty of a marine and had a huge capacity to love. And, she knew a good shortstop when she saw one.
Loving wife of the late Sanford Sarachan, and sister of the late Edie Copland and late Dr. Mike Garsenstein, she is survived by sons, Gary (Margaret Fox) and David (Cherie); grandchildren, Sydney, Ian (Rea), and Alexa; great-grandchildren, Shay and Edison; and a cousin Dr. Howard Wilinsky.
Due to Covid-19, there will be a family graveside service. Donations may be made in Flo’s name to Geva Theatre of Rochester, New York.
