Fred T. Hoffman, age 83, passed away peacefully after a long illness. Born to Harold and Evelyn Hoffman, both of whom preceded him in death, Fred carried forward the Hoffman name with honor throughout his life. Fred’s brother Stephen J. Hoffman also preceded him in death.

Fred is survived by his loving wife, Audrey Hoffman, along with his daughter Melissa Hoffman. He also leaves behind sisters-in-law Martha Fahrer (Ginna), Patricia Curry, and Betsy Comisar, as well as his brother-in-law David Fahrer. Fred’s life was further enriched by numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart. Louie, Fred’s faithful canine companion, is also left behind.

Affectionately known as “The Small Money Dealer,” Fred was the proud owner of Hoffman Appliance, a family business he guided with passion and integrity. As the third generation to lead Hoffman’s, Fred took immense pride in carrying forward the tradition his family began, serving his community with the same warmth and reliability that defined his character.

A private burial will be held, with a celebration of Fred’s life to take place on SUNDAY May 17 at  1 PM at Oak Hill Country Club so that family and friends may gather to honor his memory.

The Hoffman family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Fred’s caregivers, whose compassion and support were a constant comfort throughout his journey. The family would also like to thank Fred’s work family at Hoffman Appliance for always being there for Fred.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UR Hospice (2180 Empire Blvd. Webster, NY 14580), whose care and kindness meant so much to Fred and his family. CLICK HERE to donate online.
