Predeceased by his wife Lorraine D. Hurwitz. He is survived by children, Phillip (Pam) Hurwitz, Jeffrey (Terry) Hurwitz, Alana (Bobby) Harndon and Brian (Eileen) Hurwitz; grandchildren, Austin Hurwitz, Jennifer Hurwitz-Zlotnick, Zachary Hurwitz, Jordan Harndon, Christopher Hurwitz, Annie Hurwitz; great-grandchild Mason Hurwitz. Gary was a veteran of the US Navy and he trained to serve on the historic battleship USS Missouri. Today we lost a remarkable man. Compassionate, learned, hard-working and open-hearted. He loved his family, friends, his country and life itself- a love that was deeply reciprocated. He leaves us an example and memories that fill any void created. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 11 AM in the All Seasons Chapel of White Haven Memorial Park (210 Marsh Road). Donations in his memory can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. (WEBSITE)
