Passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 76. Predeceased by his parents, Nathan and Blanche [Kodish] Leubitz; and sisters, Phyllis Teichman and Joyce Oppenheimer. Survived by his wife, Lisa Kasdin; children, Daniel Leubitz, Ari (Florence) Leubitz and Benjamin (Rachel) Leubitz; grandchildren, Aviva, Eliana, Ezra, Gavi, Mayaan, Ilan, Orli, Dovid, Talia, Ava and Emunah; Lisa’s children, Julia (Alex) Reeder and Samantha Hyman; Lisa’s grandchildren, Caleb and Bella Reeder; brother, Barry (Renee Washko) Leubitz; mother-in-law, Phyllis Kasdin; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a community of dear friends and congregants.
He served as Hazzan at Temple Beth Am in Cleveland for 22 years and then at Temple Beth El in Rochester until his retirement in 2018.
Funeral Services will be held on WEDNESDAY December 10, 2025 at 11 AM in The Main Sanctuary at Temple Beth El [139 Winton Road South]. CLICK HERE for a map to Temple.

The family will sit Shiva at 475 Oakdale Drive in Brighton on Wednesday [December 10th] from 7 – 9 PM, Thursday [December 11th] from 2 – 4 PM & 7 – 9 PM, Friday [December 12th] from 1 – 3 PM, Saturday [December 13th] from 7 – 9 PM, Sunday [December 14th] from 2 – 4 PM & 7 – 9 PM and Monday [December 15th] from 2 – 4 PM & 7 – 9 PM.
