March 22, 2022, at the age of 79. A native New Yorker & long-time resident of Henrietta, NY. He is survived by his dedicated & loving wife Esther of 55 years, sons Jeffrey (Karen) of Marlboro, NJ & Steven (Jennifer) of Oak Park, CA, four loving granddaughters (Jordana, Jillian, Sascha, & Marlo) and brother Stanley (Mary) of The Villages, FL. Predeceased by parents Joseph & Mollie Golove.
After graduating Flushing (Queens) High School, Howard received his Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Brockport & Master’s Degree from Brooklyn College. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle & friend, Howard held managerial positions with Xerox, Kodak, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) & concluded his career directing a grant-funded workforce training & development program at Monroe Community College. Howard served as an active member of the Rochester community for many years. His appreciation for lifelong learning led him to serve as an elected member of the Rush-Henrietta Board of Education for 4 years. Howard was an adjunct faculty member at RIT for over 40 years teaching courses in business, speech, & communications. Howard had a strong affection for Broadway Theatre. During retirement, he conducted Broadway & big band workshops at several local assisted living facilities & the Jewish Community Center. He was also an active volunteer at WXXI National Public Radio, Rochester Broadway Theater League, & Downstairs Cabaret. Howard adored his four granddaughters & will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held on SUNDAY, MARCH 27, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the All Seasons Chapel of White Haven Memorial Park [MAP].
The family will receive friends on SUNDAY 7-9 PM & MONDAY 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the family’s residence. If you need the address, the family requests you reach out to them for it.
