Passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on September 9, 2025, at the age of 93. Predeceased by her husband, Morris “Moe” Ouriel; parents, Myron and Gertrude [Winkelstein] Rothschild; siblings, Anne Rebeck and Leonard Rothschild; nephew, Charles Rebeck; and daughter-in-law, Helen Ouriel. Survived by her children David Ouriel (Rev. Tommie L. Parker), Ellen (Kenneth) Meagher and Jeffrey (Bonnie) Ouriel; grandchildren, Jacqueline (Chris) Hunsinger, Melanie (Sean Fisher) Meagher, Andrew Meagher, Mordechai Ouriel, Amanda Ouriel, Jacob Ouriel and Benjamin Ouriel; 3 step-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, Owen, Henrey, Ezra, Adalyn, Ricky and Logan; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family would like to thank The Jewish Home and the nurses and aides for the excellent care Janice received over the past 18 years – especially to the ones closest to her.

Funeral Services will be held on FRIDAY September 12, 2025 at 11 AM in The Interfaith Chapel at Brighton Memorial Chapel (3325 Winton Road South). CLICK HERE for a map the funeral home.
