Joel Caplan of Rochester, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 29, 2022 at the age of 89 after a long illness.

Joel proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954. He was an avid fisherman and swing dancer with a zest for life and a repertoire of jokes and one-liners. He will always be remembered for the big smile on his face and his easy laughter.

Joel is survived by his sister, Adrea (Stuart) Berger, nieces Stephanie (Andy) Guchone and Sara (Steven) Sanders, nephew Eric (Jennifer) Samuels and his great-nieces and great-nephews Allyson (Patrick), Zach, Sydney, Ari, Gavriela, Hannah, Eli and Wyatt.

Graveside services will be held on Friday December 2, 2022 at 11 AM at the White Haven Memorial Park (210 Marsh Road) in Pittsford.
