Joe was born and grew up in the Bronx before marrying Estelle in 1966 and moved to Long Island a few years later. He was an accountant and worked for Internal Revenue Service for a short time before going into private practice for most of his career. Despite loathing driving in the snow, he and Estelle moved to Rochester in 2005 to be closer to family.
Joe was a family man through and through and took tremendous pride in providing for them and spending time in whatever way he could. Joe also adored his furry feline family and adopted and cared for several kitties during his years in Rochester.
We are very grateful to the staff at Rochester General and the Hildebrandt Home for their caring and compassion in helping to keep Joe comfortable during his final time with us.
