Joy F. Moss died peacefully at her home surrounded by family on March 14, 2021, at the age of 84. She is survived by her 3 children, Kathy Lowengrub (Jeff Lowengrub), Debbie Moss (Keith Somers), and David Moss (Abby Rischin); 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. She lost her husband of 60 years and the love of her life, Dr. Arthur Moss, in early 2018.
Joy Moss was a graduate of Wellesley College and the University of Rochester School of Education. Specializing in children’s literature, she was a prolific author and a beloved teacher of both children and adults at the Harley School and the University of Rochester.

A graveside service was held privately at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
