Judith Jean (Gordon) Eissenstat, age 93, died peacefully on April 22, 2021 in Rochester, NY. Judy, a life-long resident of Rochester was born Sept 2, 1927. She is survived by her husband of seventy years, Paul Eissenstat, and her four sons, Michael of Frederick MD, Richard (Rochelle) of Jerusalem, Israel, David (Brenda) of State College, PA, and Howard (Yasemin) of Canton, NY, along with her ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Judy was loved by many and active in her community. She devoted herself to raising her children and supporting her husband. She loved learning about nature and enjoyed taking her sons, and later her grandchildren, to zoos or birdwatching at local parks. She was an avid reader and worked at the Irondequoit High School library when her children were young. She enjoyed hosting family holiday meals, playing bridge with friends, square dancing, and travelling. She was the heart of her family and gave to everyone a part of herself that we will always cherish. Judy was a member of Temple Beth David and the Jewish Community Center.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday April 23, 2021 at 1:30 PM at Brighton Memorial Chapel (3325 Winton Road South) followed by a grave-side service at Mount Hope Cemetery. For those unable to attend you can view the service below.
