Leonard “Len” Stein, 81, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026.
Len was predeceased by his daughter, Amy Stein Harvey. He is survived by his beloved wife, Anna Stein; children, Holly and Andy Lahue, Derek O’Donald and Teresa Bebout; and his cherished grandchildren, Hanna (Aman), Kenzie, Kaylin, Ben, and Elliott; along with many dear friends.
Born in Rochester, New York, Len spent most of his life there. He enjoyed a career filled with hard work, but his greatest passions were the outdoors and adventure. An avid hiker, Len accomplished the remarkable feat of climbing all 46 High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains. He also loved traveling the world, especially to experience birding, and rarely missed the chance to attend a baseball game.
Above all, Len treasured time with his family. He loved teaching his grandsons how to fish, sharing gumballs and his favorite candies, and creating simple moments that will be remembered for years to come.
