Lew Denis Jones

June 30, 1940–April 4, 2024

Passed away peacefully early Thursday morning in the good care of Aurora Comfort Home. Survived by his wife, Janet Lovenheim Irwin. Lew will be missed dearly by many loved ones, friends, colleagues, and clients, especially the many children and grandchildren in his life: Marcus, Max, Kristine, Anthony, Amelia, Dinah, Adam, Hye-Jin, Yuna, Scott, Leigh Ann, Alex, Zach, and his beloved dog Henri.

Lew grew up on the streets of Brooklyn stealing bread to stay alive and lived out the rest of his life as a wild success in friendship, business, love, and family. Generous, fun-loving, warm, and playful Lew lived every moment with gusto. He made this world a brighter place for so many.

Donations in his memory can be made to The Children’s’ Village, which gave him much comfort in his youth, and the RPO, which gave him much pleasure in the years that followed.

Memorial Service will take place 1:00 PM on SUNDAY, April 21, 2024 at Temple Sinai, 363 Penfield Road, Rochester, NY 14625. Shiva following until 4:00 PM at Temple Sinai Youth Lounge.
