Marcia Ann Stekloff, 76, died at Leo’s Care Center in Irondequoit on Tuesday morning. Marcia was born in Syracuse, NY on April 18, 1946. After growing up in Syracuse, Marcia obtained a Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Albany and a Masters in Education from Penn State University.

Marcia spent decades teaching math across Rochester, including in the Gates Chili school district and at Monroe BOCES where she focused on continuing education.  She impacted hundreds of students’ lives over the many years of her career.   She was a passionate reader, and lover of the arts and music, but her happiest moments were spent with her loving family.

Marcia is survived by her two children: Brian Stekloff (Sara) and Marisa Volinsky (Peter), and her three grandchildren: Amber, Paxton, and Madelyn.

Funeral Services were held privately.
