Predeceased by her parents, Maurice & Lena (Rosenfeld) Powsner; sister, Estelle A. Thomas; sister-in-law, Edith Raff. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Bernard D. Grossman; children, Doug Thomas of Orlando, FL, Karen Gowen (Steven Belleville) of N. Grafton, MA; granddaughter, Alison Gowen; brother-in-law, Marvin Raff and several nieces and nephews Marilyn was born on December 26, 1932, in New York City. She graduated from Brooklyn College & Pratt Institute. She worked as an elementary school teacher in the Rochester City Schools and as a freelance artist, travel consultant & jewelry designer. She was a prolific reader, enthusiastic traveler, avid cruciverbalist with interests in U.S. Politics, musical theatre & European History. Services were held privately. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice in her memory.
