It is with deep sadness and love that we announce the passing of Mark B. Stein, age 72, who departed this life on May 13, 2026.

Born on September 20, 1953, in New York City, Mark was the son of Daniel and Joyce Stein. He spent over 25 years building a successful career as a private wealth manager. Prior to this, Mark served as the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at SUNY Geneseo, a role that sparked a lifelong passion for adventure and travel. Some of his most cherished memories included family trips to Paris, Las Vegas, and Niagara Falls.

Mark will be remembered for his humor, his fondness for The Three Stooges, and his immense generosity and love for his family.

Mark leaves behind a beautiful legacy and is survived by his wife of 33 years, Robin Stein; his devoted daughter, Alexandra Morgan Dietz (Alex Massachi); his cherished granddaughter, Leora Massachi; and his brothers, Scott Stein and Darren Stein. He was preceded in death by his adoring daughter, Whitney AC Dietz, and his parents, Daniel and Joyce Stein.

Graveside Services will be held on MONDAY May 18, 2026 at 1 PM at White Haven Memorial Park [210 Marsh Road in Pittsford]. Friends and family are asked to gather at the Main Entrance. CLICK HERE for a map to the cemetery.
