She was a kind and warm person, who really cared about people. Without fail, she would send us greeting cards for the holidays, with a whole megillah inscribed on it, giving every detail of her loving family. She was always fun to talk with, and was always ready for a good kibbittz. May the Lord comfort her family with the other mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. Mary and I will miss her.

Ross, Susan and Lisa: Marlene had a keen sense of family and community. She was a quick wit and could do that Glasser "family tree in her head" thing! She always had a welcoming smile. I'll miss the endless Ross/Marlene banter! Larry's words really captured her essense. Love and strength to you all.

Dear Ross and Family, Words cannot describe my shock in reading Marlene’s obit today. I’ve known her since we were youngsters at Camp Seneca lake and we bunked together . Then again, we met up at Buffalo State in the same class. What fond memories I have from camp of us making a game of saying her name in sing-song fashion: Marlene Regina Gerstel. My sincere condolences to all.
