Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 3, 2023, at the age of 91. Predeceased by his wife, Gloria [Oberstein] LuKacher; and parents, Samuel and Clara [Shmier] Lukacher. Survived by his sons, Aron (Saundra Schoicket) Lukacher, Joel (Marjorie) Lukacher and Kenneth (Leba) LuKacher; grandchildren, David Lukacher, Anna (Paul Levy) Lukacher, Avi Lukacher, Ilana (Doron) Yashar, Sarah Lukacher and Benjamin Lukacher; great-grandchildren, Moshe, Amitai, Noa, Chana, Michal and Jacob; brother-in-law, Sidney (Evelyn) Oberstein; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Marty graduated from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute in 1953 and Temple University Law School in 1958. He was a Patent Attorney for RCA (1953 – 1963) and General Dynamics (1963 – 1973). He was a practicing Solo Attorney in Intellectual Property Law (1973 – 1997) in association with Nixon, Hargrave, Devans and Doyle (1979 – 1997). He merged his practice with Harris, Beach and Wilcox (1997 – 2000), at which point he worked with his son Kenneth’s law firm until 2016. During his career, he obtained over 1,000 U.S. Patents. He also served as President of the Rochester Patent Law Association.

Funeral Services will be held SUNDAY, March 5, 2023 at 2 PM in The Main Sanctuary of Temple Beth El (139 Winton Road South). CLICK HERE for a map to Temple.
