Marvin B. Groden

Passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, at the age of 89 and a few weeks shy of his 90th birthday, surrounded by his family.  Predeceased by his loving wife, Beverly Groden; parents, Doris and Earl Groden, brother Joe Groden , sisters-in-law Elaine Gold and Ronna Berliner.  Survived by his loving daughters and son-in-laws, Amy (Jonathan) Katz, Debbie (Paul) Levin and Sheryl (Sean Pager) Groden; granddaughters, Samantha & Zoe Katz, Emily & Jessica Levin, Sophie & Sasha Pager; brother-in-law Jeffrey Berliner, nieces & nephews Jodi (Jon) Roberson, Lori (Edwen) Belza, Marcie (Joel) Shapiro, Jonathan Berliner, Sam Berliner; great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Marv was born in Rochester, New York and a graduate of the University of Buffalo School of Pharmacy.   Marv enjoyed a long and meaningful career as a pharmacist, where he took pride in forming personal connections with his customers, taking the time to listen, offer guidance, and build lasting relationships.

Family was at the heart of Marv’s life. He shared a loving relationship with his wife Bev, and together they served as role models for their three daughters and their husbands. Marv joked that he was always surrounded by women, a circle that grew larger and brighter with the arrival of his six beloved granddaughters.  Marv cherished time spent with his family, including many memorable family vacations across the US.

Marv will always be remembered for his warm smile, his devotion to his family, and the way he made so many feel seen and valued. His legacy will live on in the many lives he touched through his work, his friendships, and most deeply, his family.
