Lederman February 4, 2020 at age 98. Predeceased by his wife, Devorah; parents, Nathan & Fanny Lederman & brother, Irving Lederman. Survived by his loving children, Ernest Lederman & Julia (Thomas DiGiacomo) Lederman; sisters, Sylvia Lederman, Shirley (Norman) Dombrowsky, Gloria Skwiersky; many nieces & nephews. Milt was a loving & kind man, who was devoted to his family and friends. He was known for his scholarship, sense of humor & his puns. Milt was born in Poland and grew up in New Brunswick, NJ. He was educated at Rutgers University and served in the Army during World War II, then married and moved to Rochester. He was an advertising copywriter before being the Director of Communications for the University of Rochester Medical Center. In his later years, he wrote a book entitled, “Puntification: Pun Intended?” He was always active in the community & politics and led the successful effort for pioneering anti-smoking regulations. A Memorial Service will be held on SUNDAY, February 16, 2020, at 11 AM in the chapel of Temple B’rith Kodesh 2131 Elmwood Avenue [MAP]. Following the service, the family will receive friends from 1-4 PM at the Summit at Brighton, and again on Tuesday, February 18, from 3-7 PM at the Jewish Home of Rochester [MAP]. Donations in his memory may be made to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm [LINK], or to the Brighton Memorial Library Gift Fund [LINK].
