Raul Tuber Isakson, age 89 passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026.

Raul was born on April 25, 1937, in Havana Cuba. After marrying the love of his life, Regina Biton, he and his wife left Cuba as refugees in search of freedom and a better future. They first settled in Cleveland, Ohio, where they lived for a year before making Puerto Rico their home in 1962.

That same year, Raul and Regina welcomed their son Eliezer Tuber, who later married Sheryl Silberman. Raul’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather to Maya Tuber and Jonathan Tuber. He worked tirelessly throughout his life to provide for those he loved, always placing his family’s wellbeing above his own. Though he was a man of few demands, his greatest source of happiness was simply being surrounded by the people he loved.

Raul was Jewish and honored his faith and traditions throughout his life as best he could. His family’s history was marked by profound tragedy. His parents emigrated from Lithuania, and many of their relatives perished in the Holocaust. Those experiences instilled in Raul a deep appreciation for family, perseverance, and the opportunity to build a new life.

Raul’s legacy live on through his beloved wife, Regina; his son, Elizer (Sheryl); and his cherished grandchildren, Maya and Jonathan. His life stands as a testament to courage, sacrifice, and the enduring power of family.

May his memory be a blessing.

Interment will take place at White Haven Memorial Park (210 Marsh Road, Pittsford, New York 14534 Section V) on Friday July 24, 2026 at 12:00pm. Donations in Raul’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
