In Loving Memory of Samuel Klotz
April 29, 1947 – October 9, 2025

Samuel Klotz, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, at the age of 78.

Born on April 29, 1947, in Bad Worishofen, Germany, Samuel was the cherished son of Holocaust survivors Helen and Abraham Klotz. His early life was shaped by resilience and hope — values that guided him throughout his years.

Samuel proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1969 to 1973, where he demonstrated the same sense of duty and integrity that would define his life.

He made his home first in Rochester, New York, and later in Hallandale Beach, Florida. Samuel was predeceased by his devoted wife, Henya Klotz, with whom he shared a lifetime of partnership and cherished memories.

He is survived by his loving children, Michael (Kelly) Klotz of Hallandale Beach, Florida, and Elana (Timothy) Herman of Fairport, New York. Samuel took immense pride in his four adored grandchildren — Violet, Jacob, Elijah, and Natan — whose lives were brightened by his warmth, humor, and wisdom.

Graveside services will be held THURSDAY October 16, 2025 at 12:15 p.m. at Britton Road Ceremony (188 Britton Road) followed by Shiva and a reception for family and friends at 80 Valewood Run, Penfield, NY concluding at 8:00 p.m.

For those unable to attend in person, please CLICK HERE to Livestream the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Samuel’s name to a Holocaust remembrance organization or a charity of one’s choice.
