Sandra Lippman (Wolfe)

Sandra Lee (Wolfe) Lippman passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, November 26, 2023. She was 93. Sandra was born on March 25, 1930 in Flint, Michigan. She was the eldest of three sisters, graduating in 1948 from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw, Michigan. Though she grew up in Saginaw, she spent many summers in Rochester, New York where she met Army veteran Louis “Label” Lippman on the beach at Charlotte. They married in 1949 in her hometown of Saginaw. Sandra moved to Rochester in 1949 where she and Label raised their four children in the Brighton area before moving to Atlanta, GA in 1985 where Sandra worked for a market research firm until she retired in 2006. In 2009, she moved to Florida.

Sandra was a great wife, mother and mother-in-law, dedicating her life to her family. She was an artist and enjoyed painting. Sandra also enjoyed cooking, traveling, going to museums, the library, spending time with family and friends, sharing stories and eating chocolates. Sandra was also a two time breast cancer survivor.

In the 1970’s she was the owner of the popular t-shirt screen print shop, the T-Shirt Shack, as well as Sandra’s Boutique on Monroe Avenue. Everyone who knew her, knew their house was where all the friends and family gathered. Sandra made the best matzo ball soup and her cinnamon apples were delicious.

She is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Label Lippman, her parents Louis and Edith Kliman Wolfe, sisters and brothers-in-law Myrna (Barney) Baron and Gail (Chuck) Levy, son-in-law Donnie Beitchman, sister-in-law Thelma (Leonard) Schrieber, brother-in-law Seymour (Shirley) Lippman, nephews Lance Levy and Terry Lippman and niece Linda Lippman.

Sandra is survived by her four children, daughters Wendy Lippman of Asheville NC/Rochester NY, Karen Beitchman of Raleigh-Durham NC, Alicia (Joe) Thornton of Dale TX, and son Alan (Juana-marie) Lippman of Dunedin FL. Cousins, Milton Rosenthal and David Rosenthal, Nieces, Traci (Mark) Comstock, Stacy Baron (Steven Mason), Gail Drew, Lynn Regan, Nephews, David Baron, Michael (Nancy) Lippman and many great nieces and nephews and close friends.

Sandra’s family would like to thank all of the caregivers and healthcare workers that have taken care of her over the last 15 years. We appreciate each of you.

Graveside services will be held at the Stone Road/Waad Hakolel Cemetery on November 30, 2023 at 4:00pm. Please use the Pearson St. entrance.
