Thelma Steklof Angell passed away Monday, November 21, 2022, at the Jewish Home of Rochester. She was born in Rochester, New York on December 13, 1923. Thelma was predeceased by her parents Anne and Samuel Steklof and her three siblings.
Thelma was predeceased by her loving husbands, Morris J. Kowal, DDS and Rudolph Angell, MD.
Thelma is survived by her daughters Linda Kowal, DMD of Dallas, Texas and Deborah Kowal Coats (William Coats) of HoHoKus, New Jersey. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Emily Wexler (Bordens) of Chatham, New Jersey, Michael Wexler (North Wales, Pennsylvania), plus Regina Barnett (Gardner) and Alexis Barnett (Gillette) both of Dallas, Texas. She had 11 great-grandchildren. For the last several years, Thelma was a resident of the Jewish Home of Rochester. The family gives them and everyone else who cared for Thelma (especially the Recreational Therapy program) their greatest and warmest gratitude.
Graveside burial will be held Wednesday November 30th at 11 AM at Britton Road Cemetery, Greece, New York, in the Kowal plot next to her first husband, Morris Kowal, DDS. CLICK HERE for a map to the cemetery.
