David Vigdor Chazan of Rochester, NY passed away on March 30, 2026 at age 84.  He is survived by his wife, Anita, daughters Elizabeth (Chris) Meeker and Victoria (Dan) Goldstein, grandchildren, Ilana, Jordan, Dylan and Sophie, brother Richard (Susan) Chazan, stepchildren John (Denise) Watson, Jeannine (Mark) McGrath, Dan (Monika) Watson and many step-grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his beloved parents, Samuel and Tanya Chazan, sister Sandra Salemi Tate and grandmother, Zena Orben.

Born on December 12, 1941, David grew up on Harvard Street and loved spending his day at Cobbs Hill and the surrounding neighborhoods where he had many adventures.  From a young age, David was devoted to Judaism and enjoyed participating in weekly services at Temple Beth El.  He was lifelong member of Irondequoit Country Club, serving as president three times.  Spending the day on the golf course was one of his favorite places to be.

David received a BA from The College of Wooster and a DPM from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.  He had a 50-year career as a podiatrist in the Rochester area, always providing exceptional care to all of his patients.  David was dedicated to advancing the field of podiatry.  He was a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics.  David also served as president of the American College of Foot Surgeons and New York State Podiatric Medical Association.

A funeral service will be held on April 1, 2026 at Temple Beth El at 11 am followed by burial at White Haven Memorial Park.  Shiva will be observed at 777 Allens Creek Road from 2 pm to 5 pm that day.
