Matt had a great sense of humor, was an amazing cook, poet, and was incredibly smart. He absolutely loved music, and I'll never forget how well he could play the guitar. I've never seen someone love the grateful dead as much as him. He would do anything for those he loved. You will be missed Matt.

I was privileged to meet Matt once at my daughter’s birthday dinner. What a wonderful, polite, and courteous young man. He had lovely manners and was clearly a gentleman. I still talk about “the nice young man” with my daughter, and was shocked to hear he passed. May he rest in peace.
